Military Driver Changing Lanes with Skyline
Skyline is proud to introduce a new professional driver. Brandon McCabe is from Fort Lauderdale, FL. He married, joined the Air Force, and that is is where he began driving truck.
“I drove trucks in the Air Force in Charleston, SC for four years.”
In 2007, Brandon and his wife moved to Pigeon Forge to be closer to her family. He joined the Army and spent four more years driving their big trucks in Fort Benning, GA. He retired from the Army in 2012 and attended truck driving school in Murfreesboro, TN to get his CDL. Since then, he’s driven for Covenant Transport, Panther Trucking, Loomis Armored trucks and Swaggerty Sausage. Brandon said he’s always known about Skyline.
“I’ve always seen Skyline trucks on road. I was actually driving for Covenant when I met a driver who was telling me about Skyline and tried to recruit me here. That always stuck in my head. I like the fact that they are locally based and home on weekends.”
Brandon appreciates the home time, especially because he and his wife have three children – two boys and a girl between the ages of six and 13 years old. While he admits it’s hard to be away from his family, Brandon loves the freedom of driving, getting out and seeing new places.
Brandon also appreciates the family atmosphere at Skyline. “I’ve driven for a lot of companies and Skyline is a lot more family oriented.”
When he’s not driving over the road, Brandon enjoys playing video games with his boys, watching movies with his family and coaching soccer with his youngest son.
Thank you, Brandon, for being a safe, professional Skyline driver. We’re glad to have you as part of the fleet.
